I'm No Fortune Teller
So how can I guess when a new member at Revelry will not only stick around, but also crush big goals?
Well... there are 3 things that all successful members have in common. The sooner they hit all 3, the faster they see major progress....and when major progress happens...major buy-in and motivation comes with it!
COMMITTED CLUB
You've likely seen it on our social media post. To make Committed Club you must show up and workout 12 days in a month but ALSO log that workout to track progress. That means an average of 3x/week. We like to call this the "MINIMUM EFFECTIVE DOSE"... the smallest commitment to working out that yields results. People who show up on that list are also the people who usually hit goals fast.
ACCOUNTABILIBUDDY
Change is freaking hard. When we are talking about major changes to our bodies...nothing easy about it! We love homeostasis, keeping things the same, it's easy and predictable for our body and our lifestyle. We are all creatures of habit, and no matter how motivated we are, that motivation quickly fades. Back to late night snacking and skipping workouts for the comfort of the couch again before any new habits form.
This is where you need an accountabilibuddy.
People who are highly successful at Revelry typically have 2 of them. Their coach (easy because you get that when you sign up at The Rev) and someone else who comes to the gym. You need people who want to see you succeed so badly that they are willing to handle your bad attitude when you don't wanna show up or eat well. Having someone text you "where you at?" or "coming to 4:30 class today?" helps you stay committed and just keep showing up.
EAT REAL FOOD
Here is the real deal. People who get results, and fast, are the ones who eat real food. Almost all who break old habits when it comes to nutrition do one of our Nutrition 101 or 102 classes.
There you have it. The 3 things I look for when a new member joins the gym. The sooner these three come together the faster and more dramatic the results.
So, do you hit all three? If not, then tackle them in reverse order (nutrition, accountbilibuddy, committed club) and see those wins start stacking up.
